Zrzuty solanki w Kosakowie nie szkodzą wodom Zatoki Puckiej
Solanka wypłukiwana z magazynów gazowych powstających w gminie Kosakowo nie szkodzi wodom Zatoki Puckiej. Inwestor przedstawił wyniki kilkuletnich badań.
Na zlecenie spółki Gas Storage Poland prowadzili je eksperci z Instytutu Budownictwa PAN, Instytutu Morskiego w Gdańsku i Instytutu Oceanologii w Sopocie. Monitorowali m.in. zasolenie i natlenienie wody, zawartość metali ciężkich. Wyniki wskazują, że solanka nie ma negatywnego wpływu na faunę i florę Zatoki Puckiej. Rzecznik Gas Storage Poland Piotr Wojtasik podkreślał, że spółka dba o czystość wód zatoki w większym zakresie, niż zobowiązują ją do tego przepisy – m.in. poprzez prowadzenie dodatkowych badań.
W Zatoce Puckiej znajduje się prawie 50 dyfuzorów, które odprowadzają solankę do morza. Pierwszych zrzutów dokonano w 2010 roku, budowa 10-u podziemnych kawern ma potrwać do 2021 roku.
