Zrewitalizują plac wokół pomnika Józefa Wybickiego
Tego lata władze Kościerzyny zrewitalizują plac wokół pomnika Józefa Wybickiego. Zapowiadana od dawna inwestycja została okrojona, a pod koniec czerwca poznamy wynik przetargu na wykonawcę zadania.
– Władze na ten cel zabezpieczyły trzykrotnie mniej środków, więc trzeba było ograniczyć zakres prac – mówi burmistrz miasta Michał Majewski.
Pomnik autora polskiego hymnu narodowego od 1975 roku stoi w Kościerzynie przy głównej drodze w mieście. Niedawno w jego pobliżu powstała galeria handlowa i drogi dojazdowe. Teren wokół samego pomnika miał się zmienić już przed tegorocznym sezonem letnim. Koszt realizacji pierwotnej koncepcji wyniósł jednak 1 mln 700 tysięcy złotych. Prace wokół pomnika mają się rozpocząć na początku lipca. Z miejskiej kasy przeznaczono na ten cel 600 tysięcy złotych.
