Znaleziono martwą fokę – to już piąta w ciągu dwóch tygodni
Na plaży w Jastrzębiej Górze znaleziono martwą fokę. To już piąta w ciągu dwóch tygodni. Policja bada okoliczności śmierci zwierząt i apeluje do osób, które mogłyby pomóc w ustaleniu sprawcy.
– Prosimy o kontakt wszystkich, którzy mogą pomóc w śledztwie – mówi rzecznik prasowy Komendy Miejskiej Policji w Gdyni Krzysztof Kuśmierczyk.
Pierwsze dwie foki związane sznurem z cegłą znaleziono na plaży w Gdyni. Kilka dni później na kolejne martwe zwierzę natrafiono na Półwyspie Helskim. Ciało czwartej dryfowało przy Ryfie Mew koło Kuźnicy. Nad sprawą pracują policjanci z powiatu puckiego i Gdyni. Zabite foki były bardzo młode. Jedna z nich wcześniej znajdowała się pod opieką Stacji Morskiej Instytutu Oceanografii Uniwersytetu Gdańskiego w Helu. – Spędziła na wolności jedynie dwa tygodnie – mówi dr Iwona Pawliczka. Foki są w Bałtyku pod ścisłą ochroną. Sprawcom grozi kara do trzech lat pozbawienia wolności. Oprócz policji o wskazanie sprawców apeluje m.in. Fundacja Świat Zwierzętom, która oferuje 30 tys zł nagrody.
