Poprawią kolejowy dostęp do portów w Gdańsku i Gdyni
Prawie półtora miliarda złotych będzie kosztowała poprawa kolejowego dostępu do portów w Gdyni i Gdańsku. Niemal 85 procent środków jest zapewnionych z unijnej kasy. Jak zapowiedziała spółka PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe modernizacja obejmie 160 km torów na obu stacjach portowych.
Powstanie 650 rozjazdów, nowoczesne centra sterowania, niektóre linie zostaną zelektryfikowane. Kolejowa infrastruktura w portach w Gdańsku i Gdyni zostanie dostosowana do obsługi dłuższych i cięższych składów towarowych. Zwiększyć ma się także przepustowość linii. Prace mają się rozpocząć w styczniu 2019 roku, potrwają dwa lata. Będą w sumie kosztować 1 mld 400 mln zł, z czego 84 procent ma pochodzić z unijnego programu „Łącząc Europę”.
