Zmarła Wanda Kiżewska, laureatka Medalu Stolema sprzed 2 lat i wieloletnia animatorka kultury kaszubskiej w gminie Brusy. Miała 96 lat.
Zapamiętana zostanie przede wszystkim jako inicjatorka powstania Domu Kultury i rozwoju życia kulturalnego w małej wsi Czyczkowy. Rozwinęła tam działalność kaszubskiego zespołu Zaboracy, który w latach 80-tych koncertował na wielu scenach Pomorza i Polski. – Całe swoje życie poświęciła działaniu na rzecz lokalnej społeczności i edukacji młodzieży – podkreśla burmistrz Brus Witold Ossowki. Ukoronowaniem tej pracy, jego zdaniem, było przyznanie Wandzie Kiżewskiej w 2014 roku Medalu Stolema. Różaniec za świętej pamięci Wandę Kiżewską będzie odmawiany w Domu Kultury w Czyczkowach codziennie o godzinie 20:00. Pogrzeb odbędzie się w czwartek o godzinie 9:00 w Brusach.
