Zmarł profesor Brunon Synak działacz kaszubski i samorządowy
Zmarł profesor Brunon Synak – niestrudzony propagator kaszubszczyzny, wieloletni prezes Zrzeszenia Kaszubsko – Pomorskiego i były przewodniczący sejmiku pomorskiego. Od kilku lat chorował. Miał 70 lat. Profesor Synak pochodził z Podjazów w gminie Sulęczyno. Od 1973 roku pracował na Uniwersytecie Gdańskim. Był profesorem socjologii, autorem wielu prac naukowych i książki autobiograficznej „Moja kaszubska stegna”. W latach 1998-2004 był prezesem Zrzeszenia Kaszubsko-Pomorskiego, a od 2005 roku jego wiceprezesem. W I kadencji samorządu województwa był wiceprzewodniczącym sejmiku, a w II i III jego przewodniczącym. Za swoją działalność został odznaczony kawalerem Orderu Odrodzenia Polski i medalem imienia Floriana Ceynowy „Budziciel Kaszubów”. – To był wyjątkowy człowiek, będzie nam go bardzo brakowało – mówi obecny prezes ZKP i wychowanek profesora – Łukasz Grzędzicki.
