Zmarł Grzegorz Szalewski
Zmarł Grzegorz Szalewski. Samorządowiec, biznesmen, działacz wspierający rozwój kaszubszczyzny. Miał 61 lat.
Grzegorz Szalewski był pierwszym wejherowskim starostą powiatowym. Aktywnie działał w samorządzie miejskim w Rumi, gdzie prowadził też niepubliczny zakład opieki zdrowotnej. Pochodził z ziemi kościerskiej. Ostatnio gościł na naszej antenie w maju tego roku przed koronacją Obrazu Matki Bożej Pocieszenia w wielewskim sanktuarium. Pan Grzegorz wraz z rodziną był fundatorem koron bo – jak opisywał – wszyscy jego przodkowie spoczywają na parafialnym cmentarzu. Grzegorza Szalewskiego będziemy też pamiętać jako pomysłodawcę organizowania Zjazdów Kaszubów i fundatora stypendium dla najlepszych, kaszubskich maturzystów. Uroczystości pogrzebowe odbędą się w sobotę w Rumi – w parafii pod wezwaniem Najświętszej Maryi Panny Wspomożenia Wiernych.
