Złóż wniosek o rozpoczęcie nauki języka kaszubskiego
30 kwietnia – do tego czasu można złożyć do dyrektora szkoły wniosek o rozpoczęcie nauki języka kaszubskiego. Wniosek taki mogą składać rodzice dzieci, lub – w wypadku uczniów starszych – sami uczniowie. Pozwoli to od 1 września 2016 r. na zorganizowanie dla kolejnych grup uczniów nauczania przedmiotu pod nazwą „język kaszubski”, a także na poznawanie własnej historii, geografii i kultury.
Nauka języka kaszubskiego daje bezcenną okazję do zapoznania ucznia z jego własnym regionem. Pozwala to odbudowywać własną tożsamość w oparciu o wyniesione ze szkoły kompetencje kulturowe. Warto również pamiętać, że znajomość większej liczby języków może korzystnie wpływać na rozwój zdolności intelektualnych człowieka.
Język kaszubski jest jednym ze szkolnych przedmiotów od 1991 roku. Jak wskazują statystyki, cieszy się on dużym zainteresowaniem ze strony uczniów. Według danych Systemu Informacji Oświatowej w obecnym roku szkolnym 2015/2016 języka kaszubskiego uczy się w szkołach na Pomorzu 19085 dzieci. Najwięcej w podstawówkach – 15 511 dzieci, w gimnazjach – 2653 dzieci, w szkołach ponadgimnazjalnych – 937 uczniów. Z roku na rok liczba dzieci uczących się języka kaszubskiego sukcesywnie wzrasta.
