ŻEGLARSTWO: Gdynia na fali dla najmłodszych
Jak w Gdyni zostać żeglarzem? Dowiedzą się najmłodsi mieszkańcy miasta dzięki programowi edukacji żeglarskiej „Gdynia na fali”. Z początkiem września rozpocznie się cykl spotkań w szkołach.
Ambasadorami akcji zostali wybitni gdyńscy żeglarze i olimpijczycy Marcin Czajkowski i Maciej Grabowski. Mają promować Gdynię jako żeglarską stolicę Polski i gdyńskie sukcesy na arenie krajowej i międzynarodowej. Oraz opowiedzieć o nich dzieciom i młodzieży. Chodzi o to by najmłodszym przybliżyć podstawy i zachęcić do uczestniczenia w zajęciach gdyńskich szkółek żeglarskich – mówi pomysłodawczyni programu, pełnomocnik prezydenta Gdyni do spraw rodziny Beata Szadziul.
Spotkaniom z utytułowanymi żeglarzami w szkołach towarzyszyć będzie wystawa zdjęć i sprzętu żeglarskiego. Dodatkowo powstanie informator – jak w Gdyni zostać żeglarzem, który otrzyma każdy uczeń uczestniczący w programie. Przygodę z żeglarstwem mogą zacząć już dzieci kilkuletnie, im więcej ich będzie się szkoliło tym większa szansa na kolejnych olimpijczyków z Gdyni. Nastolatków będziemy zachęcać do zdobywania żeglarskich patentów – dodaje Beata Szadziul.
Na program „Gdynia na fali” w najbliższym roku szkolnym miasto wyda sto tysięcy złotych. Rozważa się też pomoc finansową dla rozpoczynających swoją przygodę z żeglarstwem.
