Czy połączenie kolejowe Wejherowo-Rybno się opłaca?
Czy rewitalizacja połączenia kolejowego Wejherowo – Rybno będzie opłacalna? Przygotowanie studium, które odpowie na to pytanie, sfinansują samorządy powiatu Wejherowskiego.
– Trzeba jednak sprawdzić sprawdzić, czy ten pomysł ma rację bytu – mówi wejherowski starosta, Gabriela Lisius.
Porozumienie w tej sprawie podpisały: wejherowskie starostwo powiatowe, gminy: Wejherowo i Gniewino, miasto Wejherowo oraz przedstawiciele Polskich Linii Kolejowych i Szybkiej Kolei Miejskiej. Chodzi o niemal stuletnią, od lat nieczynną linię nr 230. Rozważana jest budowa nowych przystanków, m. in. w Orlu, Bolszewie, Górze i Rybnie oraz obsługa przewozów towarowych. Czy linia ma szansę się utrzymać, czy mieszkańcy będą z niej korzystać i jakie będą koszty rewitalizacji – to podstawowe pytania na jakie muszą odpowiedzieć eksperci. Pewne jest natomiast, że na inwestycję samorządy będą musiały szukać środków poza swoimi budżetami. Połączenie, jeżeli powstanie, to nie wcześniej niż za 5 lat.
