Zapraszamy do lektury marcowego numeru miesięcznika Pomerania
W tym roku mija 750 lat od śmierci Świętopełka II Wielkiego, księcia gdańskiego, którego państwo w XIII wieku „osiągnęło szczyt swego rozwoju terytorialnego i ustrojowego zarówno w stosunkach wewnętrznych, jak zewnętrznych”, jak to określił profesor Gerard Labuda.
Miesięcznik Pomerania proponuje nam kilka tekstów poświęconych Świętopełkowi i jego czasom. W Gdańsku stoi pomnik księcia Świętopełka, a w oliwskim parku jego popiersie. W wielu miejscowościach na Pomorzu jego imię noszą m. in. ulice. Niestety nie wszyscy mieszkańcy naszego regionu wiedzą, kim był ów książę, jakie są jego dokonania i co zawdzięcza mu Pomorze.
A jeśli ktoś nie chce patrzeć w przeszłość, to niech wspólnie z Piotrem Lessnauem i prof. Cezarym Obracht-Prondzyńskim zastanowi się nad tym, co za 20 lub 30 lat będzie oznaczało zdanie: „Jô jem Kaszëba”. Zapraszamy do lektury marcowego numeru miesięcznika Pomerania.
