Zakończono kolejną inwestycję Zarządu Morskiego Portu Gdynia S.A.
Uroczyście zamknięto kolejną inwestycję Zarządu Morskiego Portu Gdynia S.A. współfinansowaną ze środków unijnych. Projekt „Przebudowa Nabrzeża Szwedzkiego w Porcie Gdynia” kosztował w sumie 90,5 mln zł. Otrzymał dofinansowanie w kwocie ponad 51 mln zł ze środków Funduszu Spójności w ramach Programu Operacyjnego Infrastruktura i Środowisko 2007-2013.
Inwestycja obejmowała przebudowę odcinka Nabrzeża Szwedzkiego wraz z dostępem drogowo-kolejowym oraz infrastrukturą nadziemną i podziemną, jak również budowę instalacji odbierającej ścieki ze statków oraz przebudowę układu kolejowego i nawierzchni drogowych od strony Nabrzeża Duńskiego. Infrastruktura wybudowana w ramach projektu będzie przede wszystkim użytkowana dla przeładunków towarów masowych sypkich, w tym m.in. węgla, koksu, rudy, kruszywa, śruty czy zboża.
Realizacja projektu przyczyni się do wzrostu konkurencyjności Portu Gdynia w Regionie Morza Bałtyckiego. W Gdyni obsługiwane będą jednostki o większej pojemności przy zanurzeniu do 13 m. Służy ona także ochronie środowiska – między innymi dzięki ograniczeniu przedostawania się zanieczyszczeń do wód portowych. Co warto podkreślić, roboty budowlane prowadzone były przy jednoczesnym zapewnieniu ciągłej obsługi statków. (Foto: www.port.gdynia.pl – H. Sagan)
