Zamiast niebezpiecznego skrzyżowania będzie rondo
W Rumi na skrzyżowaniu ulic: Gdańskiej i Pomorskiej powstanie rondo – zdecydowali radni na ostatniej sesji rady miasta.
To jedna z najniebezpieczniejszych krzyżówek w Rumi, na której notorycznie dochodzi do drobnych stłuczek i poważnych wypadków. – Mimo modernizacji tego odcinka kilka lat temu nie udało się zapewnić wystarczającego poziomu bezpieczeństwa – tłumaczy burmistrz Michał Pasieczny. Bezpieczniej ma być także dzięki wybudowaniu prawoskrętu z ulicy Pomorskiej w Gdańską, wybudowany ma być także bezpieczny azyl dla pieszych. Pieniędzy na realizację inwestycji rumski samorząd będzie szukał w środkach unijnych – wspólnie z wejherowskim starostwem powiatowym, który jest zarządcą ulicy Pomorskiej. Koszt przebudowy skrzyżowania Gdańskiej i Pomorskiej oszacowano na 1 mln 700 tys. złotych. Samorządy miejski i powiatowy chcą zdobyć mln złotych dofinansowania, resztę po połowie sfinansują ze swoich budżetów.
