Zakończono zbiórkę pieniędzy dla dla ECS w Gdańsku
3 mln zł w 30 godzin zebrano na facebookowej akcji dla Europejskiego Centrum Solidarności. Dodatkowe 700 tys zł wpłynęło na subkonto placówki. Zbiórkę zorganizowano po obcięciu dotacji dla ECS.
Ministerstwo Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego zmniejszyło finansowanie z 7 do 4 mln zł. Powrót do poprzedniej kwoty uzależniono od wprowadzenia zmian – m.in. możliwości powoływania przez ministerstwo wicedyrektora oraz utworzenie nowego działu im. Anny Walentynowicz, w którym pracowałby 10-osobowy zespół. W odpowiedzi samorządy: województwa i miasta Gdańska zapowiedziały, że zwiększą swoje dotacje dla Europejskiego Centrum Solidarności. Brakujące pieniądze błyskawicznie znalazły się dzięki facebookowej akcji #WspieramECS. Założoną kwotę uzbierano dzięki hojności 45 tys darczyńców. Były też wpłaty bezpośrednio na subkonto Centrum. Jak podano w serwisie miasta Gdańska w sumie zebrano ponad 3 mln 700 tys zł.
