Zachęcali do uczestnictwa w Swiatowych Dniach Młodzieży
Około 3 tysięcy gości spodziewają się w Wejherowie podczas Światowych Dni Młodzieży. Do aktywnego uczestnictwa i wolontariatu zachęcano na powiatowej inauguracji wydarzenia.
– To także niepowtarzalna okazja do promocji naszego regionu i kultury – podkreśla wejherowska starosta Gabriela Lisius.
Największy festiwal religijny na świecie, podczas którego na wspólnych modlitwach spotyka się z papieżem młodzież z różnych zakątków globu zapoczątkował Jan Paweł II. W tym roku gospodarzem Światowych Dni Młodzieży będzie Kraków, a do uczestnictwa wejherowską młodzież zachęca koordynatorka tego wydarzenia na Gdynię Weronika Czekaj. – W Światowe Dni Młodzieży można się także włączyć pomagając w organizacji wydarzenia – poprzez wolontariat i przyjmowanie pod swój dach pielgrzymów – dodaje Dziekan Dekanatu Wejherowskiego, ksiądz prałat Daniel Nowak. Centralne uroczystości Światowych Dni Młodzieży odbędą się w Krakowie w dniach 26 – 31 lipca. Rejestracja wolontariuszy trwa do końca marca.
