Równy jak stół – wyremontowany przejazd kolejowy w Wejherowie przy ulicy 12 Marca oficjalnie otwarty.
To automatyczny przejazd – sterowany przez czujniki, które reagują na nadjeżdżający pociąg. Zabezpieczeń nie modernizowano, przedmiotem inwestycji było to co najbardziej utrudnia życie kierowcom – koleiny i nierówna nawierzchnia. To był najgorszy przejazd w naszym powiecie, dlatego zwróciliśmy się do PKP PLK z propozycją współfinansowania remontu – mówi wejherowski starosta Józef Reszke. Chcieliśmy poprawić komfort przejazdu i udrożnić skrzyżowanie 12 marca z krajową szóstką.
Nawierzchnia jest teraz równa jak stół, dzięki czemu przejazd pokonuje się szybciej co wpływa na wzrost bezpieczeństwa – podkreśla Leszek Lewiński z PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe.
Na remont przejazdu na ulicy 12 Marca PKP wydało ponad 200 tysięcy złotych, prawie 70 tysięcy dołożyło starostwo powiatowe w Wejherowie.
