Czy już czujemy zapach świąt?Sprawdziliśmy w Sierakowicach
Wigilia Bożego Narodzenia – najbardziej rodzinny i wyjątkowy dzień w roku. W tradycji chrześcijańskiej – kończy się adwent a o 24 w nocy rozpoczyna – pasterką – Boże Narodzenie. Wigilia to z języka łacińskiego czuwanie. W tym dniu kultywujemy wiele zwyczajów i pamiętamy o przesądach.
Do dzisiaj przestrzega się, by w czas Wigilii nie kłócić się i okazywać sobie wzajemnie życzliwość. Przetrwał przesąd, że jeśli w wigilijny poranek pierwszym gościem w domu będzie młody chłopiec, przyniesie to szczęśliwy rok. Czy już czujemy zapach świąt? O to pytaliśmy mieszkańców gminy Sierakowice.
Wigilia w języku kaszubskim to Wilejô a święta Bożego Narodzenia to Gòdë od starosłowiańskiego Święta Godowego. Obchodzono je w okolicy przesilenia zimowego z 21 na 22 grudnia. Zwycięstwo światła nad ciemnością miało symbolizować nowy czas, który daje nadzieję oraz napawa radością i optymizmem na zbliżający się kolejny rok.
