Wejherowski park miejski przejdzie kolejną metamorfozę
W Wejherowie rozpoczął się kolejny etap modernizacji miejskiego parku. Prace będą kosztować 2 mln 800 tys zł. Obejmują przede wszystkim oczyszczenie stawu i poprowadzenie nowych ścieżek wzdłuż środkowego kanału do kaplicy nad Cedronem.
– Kiedyś było to miejsce o wątpliwej reputacji, dzisiaj jest jedną z wizytówek miasta – mówi prezydent Wejherowa Krzysztof Hildebrandt.
Przy placu zabaw stanie zautomatyzowana toaleta z możliwością przewijania maluchów. W siłowni zewnętrznej staną urządzenia przystosowane do potrzeb seniorów. To kolejny etap modernizacji parku prowadzonej od 11 lat. Prace potrwają do końca tego roku. Miejski samorząd ma już pomysły na kolejne inwestycje w wejherowskim parku. Rewitalizację parku im. Aleksandra Majkowskiego rozpoczęto w 2006 roku od odwodnienia terenu i wybudowania sceny letniej. Potem przyszedł czas na nowe ścieżki, plac zabaw, most i fontannę nad Kanałem Zachodnim, kolumny Kaszubskiego Abecadła i woliery dla bielików i żurawi.
