Wejherowo przystąpi do Stowarzyszenia Samorządowego S6
Wejherowo przystąpi do Stowarzyszenia Samorządowego S6 – zdecydowali na ostatniej sesji radni miasta.
– Chcemy być na bieżąco z realizacją tej inwestycji, ważnej dla sąsiadujących z nami gmin – mówi prezydent Wejherowa, Krzysztof Hildebrandt.
Stowarzyszenie powstało 2 lata temu i skupia 21 samorządów: gmin i powiatów z województw: pomorskiego i zachodniopomorskiego. Jego celem jest promocja idei budowy drogi ekspresowej między Słupskiem a Trójmiastem, która ma m.in. poprawić komunikację między obydwoma województwami i ożywić gospodarczo przyległe tereny. Stowarzyszenie współpracuje m. in. z Generalną Dyrekcją Dróg Krajowych i Autostrad i parlamentem, zorganizowało też społeczną akcję, podczas której zebrano i złożono w Warszawie kilkadziesiąt tysięcy podpisów mieszkańców Pomorza opowiadających się za przyspieszeniem budowy Trasy Kaszubskiej. – Wejherowo ma w tej grupie pełnić rolę doradczą i opiniotwórczą – mówi wiceprezydent Wejherowa, Beata Rutkiewicz. Obecnie GDDKiA jest na etapie przetargu, który ma wyłonić wykonawcę drogi S6. Trasa Kaszubska ma zostać ukończona do końca 2020 roku.
