Wejherowo najpiękniej oświetlonym miastem na Pomorzu – estetykę i oryginalność świątecznych dekoracji docenili głosujący w organizowanym przez Dziennik Bałtycki i Grupę Energa plebiscycie “Świeć się”.
Iluminacje na wejherowskim ratuszu, kamienicach wokół rynku i przyległych ulicach zebrały ponad 2700 głosów, pokonując laureata ubiegłorocznej edycji, Gdynię o prawie 200 głosów. Miasto po raz drugi wygrało ten konkurs, po raz pierwszy po zwycięstwo sięgnęło w 2009 roku.
– Staramy się, aby Wejherowo było nie tylko dobrze zarządzane, ale także aby panowała tu przyjemna atmosfera – mówi wiceprezydent Wejherowa, Beata Rutkiewicz.
Miasto od kilku lat systematycznie rozbudowuje iluminacje, dlatego co roku dekoracji wzbogaconych o nowe, atrakcyjne elementy jest coraz więcej. Jak przyznaje Beata Rutkiewicz, chociaż instalacje i energia elektryczna generują dodatkowe koszty, to jest to także znakomita promocja.
Teraz Wejherowo będzie walczyło w ogólnopolskim finale. Nagrodę, sprzęt AGD o wartości 10 tysięcy złotych władze miasta przeznaczą dla wejherowskiego Stowarzyszenia Przyjaciół Rodziny.
