W Wejherowie zakończono budowę rond na ulicy Ofiar Piaśnicy
W Wejherowie oficjalnie zakończono budowę dwóch rond na ulicy Ofiar Piaśnicy – drogi wylotowej z miasta w kierunku Krokowej. Przebudowa skrzyżowania z Karnowskiego jest początkiem budowy Karnowskiego do ulicy Przemysłowej i dalej – do krajowej szóstki i wybudowanego już Węzła Działki do ulic Sobieskiego – Sucharskiego.
Z kolei rondo na skrzyżowaniu Ofiar Piaśnicy z Graniczną i Lelewela jest elementem połączenia do ulicy Chopina przez Lelewela i Nadrzeczną. Jak poinformował miejski samorząd Wejherowa wkrótce rozpocznie się budowa ronda na skrzyżowaniu Nadrzecznej, Chopina i Staromłyńskiej, co razem z projektowanym odcinkiem Staromłyńskiej doprowadzi do powstania tzw. Zachodniego Połączenia Drogowego Wejherowa. Oprócz dwóch rond na Ofiar Piaśnicy przebudowano też jezdnię na odcinku ponad 600 metrów, powstał też fragment ścieżki rowerowej, a także chodnik o długości ponad kilometra. Przebudowano też sieć wodociągową i gazową, kanalizację deszczową, postawiono nowe lampy. Całkowity koszt to ponad 4 mln 800 tys zł. Miejski samorząd kwotą miliona zł wsparło wejherowskie starostwo powiatowe, z kolei prawie pół mln zł wyniósł udział finansowy PEWiKu.
