W sobotę odbył się pogrzeb prezydenta Pawła Adamowicza
W Bazylice Mariackiej w Gdańsku spoczął prezydent Paweł Adamowicz. Urna z prochami złożona została w kaplicy św. Marcina. W samej świątyni w sobotnich uroczystościach pogrzebowych uczestniczyło ponad 3,5 tys osób. Pośród nich m.in. Andrzej Duda, Mateusz Morawiecki,Lech Wałęsa, Aleksander Kwaśniewski, Bronisław Komorowski oraz Donald Tusk.
Obecni byli też samorządowcy z całych Kaszub. Mszy Św przewodniczył abp. Stanisław Gądecki. Homilię wygłosił abp. metropolita gdański Sławoj Leszek Głódź. W noc poprzedzającą pogrzeb prezydenta Gdańska środowiska kaszubskie zgromadziły się na Pustej Nocy. Wydarzenie poprowadził lektor Zbigniew Jankowski,a pieśni inicjował chór Discantus z Gowidlina. O to jak wspominać będą Pawła Adamowicza Kaszubi zebranych pytał Gracjan Fopke. Pusta noc w tradycji kaszubskiej obecna jest od wieków. Dzień przed pogrzebem gromadzono się przy ciele zmarłego śpiewając do rana pustonocne pieśni. Obecnie zwyczaj „Pustej Nocy” powoli zanika w domach, jednak jest żywy w sferze publicznej. Pierwszą publiczną „Pustą Noc” przeprowadzono w Sianowie po śmierci św. Jana Pawła II.
