W Rumi rozpoczęto prace u zbiegu ulic Pomorskiej i Gdańskiej – bezpieczne rondo ma tam zastąpić jedno z najbardziej kolizyjnych skrzyżowań w mieście.
– O realizację tego zadania kierowcy i mieszkańcy apelowali od lat – wyjaśnia przewodniczący rady miasta Rumi Ariel Sinicki.
To wspólne przedsięwzięcie samorządów: powiatowego i miejskiego wsparte dofinansowaniem z tzw. schetynówek. Powstanie turbinowe rondo, które ma umożliwić bezpieczne włączanie się do ruchu. Ulice Pomorska, Gdańska i Częstochowska połączone zostaną także chodnikami i ścieżkami rowerowymi, by ze skrzyżowania zniknęli piesi i rowerzyści. Prace potrwają do końca października. – Plac budowy będzie przejezdny, ale z ograniczeniami – zachęca do korzystania z objazdów dyrektor zarządu drogowego dla powiatów puckiego i wejherowskiego Robert Lorbiecki. Budowa ronda na Pomorskiej i Gdańskiej w Rumi oznacza także utrudnienia dla pasażerów komunikacji miejskiej. Nie jeżdżą przez skrzyżowanie autobusy linii J, M, R, 87, 383 i N30.
