W Rumi ma powstać nowy przystanek dla SKM i dwa tunele
W Rumi ma powstać nowy przystanek dla SKM-ki i dwa tunele – miasto prowadzi w tej sprawie rozmowy z PKP PLK. Miejski samorząd miałby zaprojektować i wykonać układy drogowe, a kolej zbudować obiekty inżynieryjne – czyli tunele dla samochodów i pieszych.
– Budowa przystanku na wysokości centrum Handlowego Auchan była w naszych planach od lat – mówi burmistrz Rumi Michał Pasieczny.
Wyjaśnia, że taka możliwość zaistniała dzięki finansowanej z unijnych funduszy kolejowej inwestycji, której częścią będzie budowa dodatkowych torów dla SKM między Wejherowem a Rumią. Rzecznik prasowy PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe Mirosław Siemieniec zapowiada, że inwestycja ma być zrealizowana do 2023 roku. Wyjaśnia, że przygotowując modernizację linii kolej uwzględnia potrzeby zgłaszane przez lokalne samorządy. Oprócz budowy dwóch tuneli i przystanku „Biała Rzeka” w planach jest też modernizacja stacji Rumia. Ma powstać dodatkowy peron od ulicy Towarowej, a w miejsce starego tunelu z przejściem dla pieszych powstanie nowy.
