W Rumi ma powstać nowa remiza strażacka – list intencyjny w tej sprawie podpisali burmistrz miasta, wejherowska starosta i Komendant Powiatowej Straży Pożarnej. Nowa siedziba rumskich strażaków będzie zlokalizowana w pobliżu Centrum Handlowego Auchan.
– Obecnie zajmują zabytkowy stary młyn na Placu Kaszubskim, który jest zbyt ciasny i nie spełnia wielu wymogów – mówi komendant PSP w Wejherowie, Jacek Niewęgłowski.
Na najbliższej sesji rumscy radni mają przekazać strażakom dwie działki przy ulicy Kosynierów, na których ma być zlokalizowana remiza. – W dynamicznie rozwijającym się mieście służby ratunkowe muszą działać w profesjonalnych warunkach – mówi burmistrz Rumi Michał Pasieczny. Nowa remiza w Rumi ma powstać do końca 2021 roku. Koszt jej budowy to około 6 mln złotych, których strażacy chcą szukać m.in. w ministerialnym Programie modernizacji służb mundurowych.
