W Redzie na jesieni zakończy się przebudowa ulic: Kasztanowej i Polnej. Kasztanowa to osiedlowa uliczka w dzielnicy Ciechocino, łączy się z wyremontowanym w ubiegłym roku jednym z głównych ciągów – ulicą Wiśniową.
Pamiętające lata 70 płyty zostały zerwane, powstanie asfaltowa jezdnia, chodniki i miejsca parkingowe. Skończy się problem z podtopieniami. Po nowym asfalcie na Kasztanowej będzie się można przejechać w październiku. Miesiąc dłużej będą trwały prace na ulicy Polnej. Miastu nie udało się pozyskać rządowego dofinansowania, więc budowę podzielono na etapy. W pierwszym powstaje kilometrowy odcinek od przejazdu kolejowego. Ulicę Polną chcą w Redzie budować dalej w przyszłym roku, tak by na osiedlu można było rozbudować linię komunikacji miejskiej. Pierwszy etap kosztuje 5 mln zł. Przebudowa Kasztanowej to z kolei 1 mln zł, obie inwestycje sfinansowano z budżetu miasta.
