W Pucku świętowano 667 urodziny miasta
Uroczystą sesją, spektaklem historycznym oraz tortem dla mieszkańców uczono 667 urodziny Pucka. Rocznica była też okazją dla miejskiego samorządu do podsumowania roku działalności.
– Mamy powody do świętowania,jesteśmy nowoczesnym miastem z wielowiekową tradycją mówi burmistrz Pucka, Hanna Pruchniewska.
Zebrani na sali ratuszowej samorządowcy i zaproszeni goście obejrzeli inscenizację obrony Pucka przed Szwedami w wykonaniu młodzieży z puckiego liceum, wręczono również Nagrody Artystyczne zasłużonym dla puckiego życia kulturalnego. Podsumowano dokonania miejskiego samorządu. Podkreślono m.in. ożywienie plaż i rynku, uatrakcyjnienie wizerunku miasta, przeprowadzone remonty ulic Swarzewskiej i Topolowej, czy modernizacja oświetlenia. Prawdziwa celebracja zaczęła się jednak po części oficjalnej na puckim rynku zabrzmiało tradycyjne „sto lat”, a zebrani tłumnie mieszkańcy częstowali się urodzinowym tortem. Puck uzyskał prawa miejskie 16 listopada 1348 roku dekretem wielkiego mistrza zakonu krzyżackiego Heinricha Dusemera von Arfberga.
