W miejsce drzew wyciętych na rynku w Kartuzach będą nowe
„Uśmiechnij się. W tym miejscu zasadzimy nowe drzewo” – kartki z takim komunikatem można zobaczyć na pniach na kartuskim rynku.
Kilka tygodni temu wycięto tam kilka drzew, co wywołało niemałe poruszenie. Urząd Gminy zapewnił, że nie ma to żadnego związku z tzw. „Lex Szyszko” – czyli złagodzeniem przepisów o wycince. Urzędnicy chcieli zminimalizować różnice poziomów między rynkiem a deptakiem, a przeszkadzały w tym korzenie. Decyzję o usunięciu drzewostanu podjął konserwator zabytków – wyjaśniał burmistrz Kartuz Grzegorz Gołuński. Drzewa zostaną posadzone jeszcze w tym roku, zaraz po rewitalizacji deptaka i ulicy Dworcowej.
