W Lęborku tzw. Wieża Ciśnień zmieni się w platformę widokową
W Lęborku dbają o swoje skarby – za blisko 9 mln zł metamorfozę przejdzie tzw. Wieża Ciśnień. Przetarg wygrała firma z Sierakowic, która ma przebudować charakterystyczny obiekt na wzgórzu w Parku Chrobrego.
Powstanie tam platforma widokowa wraz z windą i efektowną, przeszkloną klatką schodową. Wyremontowana zostanie elewacja, wymienione stropy, dach, okna i drzwi. Prace mają być zakończone w marcu przyszłego roku. To część większego projektu „Skarby Lęborka – ukazanie dziedzictwa kulturowego miasta przez odratowanie i wyeksponowanie elementów zabytkowego centrum”. Łącznie jest on wart ponad 13 mln zł, z czego ponad 7 mln 300 tys zł pozyskano z unijnych środków. Oprócz przemiany Wieży Ciśnień w platformę widokową obejmuje on adaptację wieży kościoła Najświętszej Maryi Panny oraz Sanktuarium św. Jakuba Apostoła na działalność muzealną, turystyczną i wystawienniczą.
W tym i przyszłym roku wyremontowane zostaną także ulice: Waryńskiego, Młynarska, Długosza i Armii Krajowej. Zmodernizowany zostanie też fragment murów obronnych przy ulicy Przymurnej i zagospodarowany skwer między Przymurną a rzeką Łebą.
