W Lęborku powstanie węzeł przesiadkowy w okolicach dworca PKP
W Lęborku powstanie węzeł przesiadkowy, który odmieni okolice dworca PKP. Miasto pozyskało na ten cel unijne dofinansowanie.
Transportowa inwestycja w Lęborku będzie kosztować prawie 26 mln zł. 85 procent tej kwoty pochodzić będzie z Regionalnego Programu Operacyjnego w ramach tzw. ZIT-u, czyli Zintegrowanego Porozumienia Terytorialnego. Powstanie m.in. długo wyczekiwany tunel pod torami łączący dworzec z ulicą Żeromskiego oraz 200 miejsc parkingowych. Przy dworcu PKP powstanie pętla autobusowa, ścieżka rowerowa, zadaszony parking dla rowerów oraz postój taksówek. Gruntownie zmodernizowane zostaną ulice: Dworcowa, Warszawska oraz fragmenty Sienkiewicza i Grunwaldzkiej – wszystkie wraz z chodnikami. Część skrzyżowań zastąpią ronda – m.in. u styku Dworcowej i I Armii WP co wyprowadzi część ruchu z Warszawskiej i 10 Marca, a dworzec zyska nowe, alternatywne połączenie.
W ramach projektu Zakład Komunikacji Miejskiej zakupi 5 autobusów spełniających normę ekologiczną Euro 6, co pozwoli na rozbudowanie sieci połączeń m.in. w dzielnicy Lębork-Wschód czy w rejonie ulicy Harcerzy.
Węzeł przesiadkowy ma powstać do końca 2019 roku. Prace zostaną podzielone na etapy by zminimalizować ich uciążliwość. W pierwszej kolejności budowany będzie tunel pod torami.
