W Lęborku będzie bezpłatna komunikacja miejska dla dzieci
W Lęborku dzieci i młodzież z podstawówek będzie mieć prawo do bezpłatnych przejazdów autobusami miejskimi. Decyzję podjęła Rada Miejska na ostatniej sesji. Będzie to ulga dla domowych budżetów, ale podstawowym celem samorządu jest zachęcenie rodziców do przewożenia dzieci do szkoły komunikacją miejską zamiast samochodem.
Ma to być także propagowanie postawy proekologicznej i utrwalanie nawyku korzystania z transportu publicznego. Zmiany zostaną wprowadzone we wrześniu tego roku. Objęto nimi dzieci w wieku od 4 do 6 lat zameldowane w Lęborku oraz uczniowie szkół podstawowych od 7 roku życia do klas gimnazjalnych. Dokumentem uprawniającym do bezpłatnej jazdy będzie posiadanie Lęborskiej Karty Ucznia, którą wydawać będzie Zakład Komunikacji Miejskiej w Lęborku oraz legitymacja szkolna.
Lębork jest kolejnym miastem, które zdecydowało się na bezpłatnie przewozić młodzież szkolną. Takie rozwiązanie wprowadzono już w Wejherowie, Redzie i gminie Luzino. Od czerwca bezpłatnie pojadą uczniowie w Gdyni, a nadanie im takich uprawnień zapowiedziano w Rumi i Sopocie.
