W Kartuzach będą budować zbiorniki retencyjne na wody opadowe
W przyszłym roku w Kartuzach rozpocznie się budowa zbiorników retencyjnych, które będą gromadzić wody opadowe. To z kolei ma się przyczynić do zmniejszenia zanieczyszczeń w jeziorach.
– W związku z tym przebudowana zostanie kanalizacja, zmodernizowana zostanie przepompownia, a w ulicach: Zamkowej, Sędzickiego i Jeziornej wybudowane zostaną zbiorniki retencyjne – informuje Olga Goitowska z Urzędu Miasta Kartuzy.
Kartuskie akweny są jednymi z najbardziej zanieczyszczonych w Polsce. Władze od lat próbują uporać się z tym problemem, jednak kolejne rozwiązania zawodzą. Teraz samorząd chce ograniczyć napływ ciężkich związków, które wpadają do jezior z wodami opadowymi. Obecnie Urząd przygotowuje dokumentację przetargową. Pierwsze prace mają ruszyć w przyszłym roku. Kolejnym krokiem przy rekultywacji jezior ma być wydobycie osadów z dna. Na razie jednak nie wiadomo jaką metodą można pozbyć się nieczystości.
