W hospicjum św. Wawrzyńca zakończyła się rozbudowa i remont
W gdyńskim hospicjum św. Wawrzyńca zakończyła się rozbudowa i remont. Więcej miejsca jest teraz w części stacjonarnej dla dorosłych.
– Część udało się pozyskać z PFRON – opisuje dyrektor hospicjum św. Wawrzyńca ksiądz Grzegorz Miloch.
Gdyńskie hospicjum od 30 lat obejmuje opieką nieuleczalnie chorych i ich rodziny, 15 lat działa placówka stacjonarna dla dorosłych. Dzięki rozbudowie zwiększono liczbę łóżek z 15-u do 27-u. Budynek także odnowiono, wyposażono w nowy sprzęt i zamontowano windę. Inwestycja kosztowała prawie milion złotych – wykonano ją przy wsparciu lokalnych samorządów – Gdyni, Rumi i Kosakowa. Oprócz zmodernizowanego hospicjum dla dorosłych i opieki domowej placówka w Gdyni obejmuje także nieuleczalnie chore dzieci i ich rodziny. Oprócz opieki domowej od czterech lat przy ulicy Dickmana działa stacjonarna Bursztynowa Przystań dla małych pacjentów.
