W Gdyni zmieniają koncepcję budowy lodowiska na Grabówku
Projekt trzeba ograniczyć przez zbyt wygórowane oferty złożone w przetargu na wykonanie prac. Samorząd Gdyni chciał przeznaczyć na budowę obiektu ponad 39 mln zł. Oferty firm przekraczają tę kwotę o jedną czwartą oraz o blisko połowę.
To i tak mniej niż w poprzednim, unieważnionym przetargu, gdzie prace wyceniono nawet na 71 mln zł. Nadal jest jednak za drogo. Gdynia nie może przekroczyć zakładanej sumy, bo pieniądze potrzebne są na kluczowe inwestycje planowane w najbliższych latach. Dlatego zamiast hali z lodowiskiem powstanie obiekt spełniający głównie funkcję rekreacyjną dla mieszkańców z minimalnym zapleczem szatniowo-administracyjnym. Będzie podobny do ślizgawki przy Bema 33. W Gdyni zaznaczają jednak, że w ramach kompleksu na Grabówku powstanie długo wyczekiwana sala gimnastyczna, z której korzystać będą uczniowie Zespołu Szkół Hotelarsko-Gastronomicznych.
