W Gdyni wystartowała 9 edycja kampanii społecznej Biała Wstążka przeciw przemocy wobec kobiet. Potrwa do 08 grudnia. Co roku na świecie mężczyźni z kilkudziesięciu krajów świata przypinają białe wstążki, aby zwrócić uwagę na ten problem.
– Niepokojące są też policyjne statystyki w skali kraju, według których przemoc w większości przypadków dotyka kobiety – zaznacza dr Wojciech Wosek z Wyższej Szkoły Administracji i Biznesu w Gdyni.
W Gdyni od dziewięciu lat seminaria i akcję ulotkową organizuje Miejski Ośrodek Pomocy Społecznej. W tym roku do współpracy przystąpiły Wyższa Szkoła Administracji i Biznesu oraz Rugby Club Arka Gdynia. Nasze miasto jako pierwsze w Polsce zaangażowało się w Białą Wstążkę – przypomniał wiceprezydent Gdyni Michał Guć. Wśród wszczętych przez gdyński MOPS procedur Niebieskiej Karty tylko 20 procent dotyczy jego podopiecznych. Od seminarium w gdyńskiej uczelni rozpoczęła się kampania „Biała wstążka” w tym mieście. Potrwa do 8 grudnia. To m.in. kolportaż plakatów i ulotek, 5 grudnia warsztaty dla studentów Wyższej Szkoły Administracji i Biznesu, a 6 grudnia Mikołajki dla dzieci na Narodowym Stadionie Rugby.
