W Gdyni przyznano Kolosy za 2016 rok
W Gdyni tłumy gromadziły prelekcje i warsztaty – na trzydniowych Kolosach, czyli ogólnopolskich spotkaniach podróżniczych. Co roku są one okazją do wysłuchania kilkudziesięciu relacji z wypraw w dalsze i bliższe rejony planety i do wręczenia statuetek za najciekawsze osiągnięcia.
Z okazji do poznania doświadczeń podróżników i udziału w warsztatach chętnie korzystają mieszkańcy Kaszub i całej Polski. Co pokazali tłumnie szturmując od piątku Gdynia Arenę. Na finał wręczono Kolosy, statuetki za podróżnicze dokonania roku. Trafiły do Krzysztofa Starnawskiego, który od 20 lat bada podwodną jaskinię, Andrzeja Bargiela, który najpierw wspina się na siedmiotysięczniki a potem zjeżdża z nich na nartach oraz do Małgorzaty Jarmułowicz i Zygmunta Leśniaka – którzy zachowują zapomnianą kulturę na południu Azji. Małgorzata Wojtaczka została nagrodzona jako pierwsza Polka, która samotnie dotarła na Biegun Południowy. Z kolei Kategorię Żeglarstwo wygrał znany już z anteny Radia Kaszëbë kapitan Szymon Kuczynski. Super Kolosa za całokształt dokonań podróżniczych wręczono wybitnym żeglarzom i polarnikom Joëlle i Januszowi Kurbielom.
