W Gdyni powstanie ogród deszczowy – rewitalizacja osiedla Meksyk
W Gdyni powstanie ogród deszczowy – w ramach rewitalizacji osiedla Meksyk. Ogrody deszczowe to oazy roślinności, które pomagają odprowadzać nadmiar wód opadowych. Takie też zadanie będzie miał ogród przy ulicy Śliwkowej, na którego wykonanie rozstrzygnięto właśnie przetarg.
Za 660 tys zł ma powstać przyjazna przestrzeń wspólna dla mieszkańców. Przez środek ogrodu deszczowego przebiegać będzie ciąg komunikacyjny w otoczeniu zieleni. Konstrukcja ogrodu oraz nasadzona roślinność – drzewa, krzewy, byliny i trawy – ma dobrze absorbować wodę. Będą tam zatem rosły m.in. brzozy, wierzby, róże czy powojnik. Część może zostać dosadzona jesienią, ale większość w gotowym ogrodzie ma się znaleźć do końca czerwca. Prace rewitalizacyjne na gdyńskim Meksyku to także utwardzanie osiedlowych dróg. Do tej pory prace wykonano na ulicy Palmowej na odcinku od Brzoskwiniowej do Śliwkowej.
