W Gdyni podsumowano zawody IRONMAN 70.3
Emocjonujące zawody i rekordy frekwencji wśród kibiców – w Gdyni podsumowano IRONMAN 70.3.
– Rywalizacja była zacięta i na najwyższym poziomie – podsumował dyrektor generalny IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia Michał Drelich.
W prestiżowych zawodach triathlonowych wzięło udział 4 tys zawodników z ponad 40-u krajów, z tego połowa w wyścigu głównym – najpierw niemal 2 km wpław, potem 90 km na rowerze i 21 km biegiem. Najszybciej morderczy dystans pokonali: Boris Stein z Niemiec i Lisa Huetthaler z Austrii. Tegoroczny IRONMAN w Gdyni to nie tylko rekordy sportowe i frekwencyjne zawodników. Dopisali też kibice – według organizatorów było ich około 50 tysięcy. Kibicom dziękował dyrektor Gdyńskiego Centrum Sportu Marek Łucyk. Oprócz sportowych emocji wysiłek organizacyjny przy tej imprezie to dla miasta także wymierne korzyści. Ekwiwalent reklamowy szacuje się na 8 do 10 mln zł.
