Centrum Medycyny Nieinwazyjnej w Gdańsku nabiera kształtu. Na budowanym kompleksie zawisła wiecha. Nowy szpital powstaje przy ulicy Smoluchowskiego. Przeprowadzi się tam ponad 20 klinik rozproszonych dziś po całym terenie Uniwersyteckiego Centrum Klinicznego.
Na siedmiu kondygnacjach – w tym jednej podziemnej, znajdzie się prawie 700 łóżek. Gdańskie Centrum Medycyny Nieinwazyjnej będzie się składało z czterech połączonych ze sobą budynków. Trzy mają być gotowe w przyszłym roku, ostatni z końcem roku 2020. Środki na budowę szpitala pochodzą przede wszystkim z budżetu państwa. Całość ma kosztować ok. 600 mln zł. Na rok 2017 w ustawie budżetowej zagwarantowano 120 mln 600 tys. zł.
