W Gdańsku i Gdyni uczczą ofiary grudnia ’70
W Gdańsku i Gdyni uczczą ofiary grudnia ’70. Od kul milicji i wojska zginęły wtedy co najmniej 44 osoby. Obchody odbędą się dziś i jutro, zaplanowano m.in. msze w intencji zabitych i ich rodzin Uroczystości rozpoczną się o godzinie 10:00 w Gdańsku – złożeniem kwiatów pod Pomnikiem Poległych Stoczniowców przez pracowników Stoczni Gdańsk oraz delegacje szkół. Później w historycznej sali BHP Stoczni Gdańskiej 36 osób otrzyma odznaczenia państwowe – m.in. Krzyżem Wolności i Solidarności odznaczony zostanie Adam Gotner, który jako pracownik Stoczni im. Komuny Paryskiej w Gdyni został w grudniu 1970 r. postrzelony sześcioma kulami. Po południu zaplanowano m.in. mszę w kościele św. Brygidy, a po niej przemarsz pod Pomnik Poległych Stoczniowców. W Gdyni uroczystości odbędą się w środę – tradycyjne rozpoczną się o godz. 6 rano pod Pomnikiem Ofiar Grudnia 1970, nieopodal stacji SKM Gdynia Stocznia gdzie padły pierwsze strzały, odbędzie się apel poległych. Druga część uroczystości po południu rozpocznie się mszą w kościele Najświętszego Serca Pana Jezusa. W grudniu 1970 r., w proteście przeciw podwyżkom cen wprowadzonym przez władze PRL, przez Wybrzeże przetoczyła się fala strajków i demonstracji. W Gdańsku i Szczecinie protestujący podpalili gmachy Komitetów Wojewódzkich PZPR. Aby stłumić protesty, władze zezwoliły milicji i wojsku na użycie broni. Według oficjalnych danych, w grudniu na ulicach Gdańska, Gdyni, Szczecina i Elbląga od kul milicji i wojska zginęły 44 osoby, a ponad 1 tys. 160 zostało rannych.
