W Gdańsku kierowcy powinni się dziś spodziewać utrudnień w ruchu w związku z przyjazdami VIP-ów na obchody rocznicy zakończenia II wojny światowej.
W uroczystościach udział wezmą przedstawiciele kilkunastu państw, w tym 8 prezydentów. Ruch w trakcie ich konwojowania z lotniska będzie czasowo wstrzymywany. Jak informuje policja za każdym razem będzie to nie dłużej niż około 15 minut. Przejazdy poszczególnych delegacji mają się odbywać od 11:00 do 16.30 – przy czym najwięcej ich będzie między 14:00 a 16:00. Trasa przejazdu z lotniska do poszczególnych hoteli nie jest ujawniana ze względów bezpieczeństwa. Kolejnych utrudnień można się spodziewać w godzinach wieczornych. Będą one związane z przemieszczaniem się wszystkich delegacji na główne uroczystości na Westerplatte. Nad bezpieczeństwem gości i mieszkańców Gdańska podczas obchodów rocznicy zakończenia II wojny światowej czuwać będzie 600. policjantów. W działania włączono także dwa śmigłowce oraz policyjne łodzie.
