W Ameryce chcą zobaczyć jak obchodzimy Dzień Jedności Kaszubów
W Los Angeles pokażą film wyjaśniający genezę tego święta i promujący kaszubską kulturę. O nagranie poprosił Jeffrey Prang, były burmistrz Hollywood o kaszubskich korzeniach.
– To doskonałą szansa, by pokazać nasze dziedzictwo – mówi burmistrz Pucka Hanna Pruchniewska.
Wizytował Nordę w kwietniu ubiegłego roku odwiedzając kraj swoich przodków i poszukując krewnych. Zachwycił się językiem kaszubskim, naszą tradycją, kulturą i postanowił promować ją za oceanem. Dzień Jedności Kaszubów obchodzimy od 15 lat. Upamiętnia pierwszą wzmiankę o Kaszubach z 19 marca 1238 roku. Papież Grzegorz IX w bulli zatytułował szczecińskiego księcia „księciem Kaszub”, potwierdzając dobra podarowane przez Bogusława I zakonowi joannitów pod Stargardem nad Iną.
