Utworzą spółdzielnię socjalną „Kaszubia”
Spółdzielnię socjalną „Kaszubia” chcą wspólnie otworzyć: gmina Wejherowo i powiat wejherowski. Ma być szansą dla bezrobotnych i społecznie wykluczonych, a dla samorządów kolejnym polem do współpracy.
– Ustawa o spółdzielniach socjalnych umożliwia nam taką działalność na zasadach preferencyjnych – tłumaczy wicestarosta wejherowski Witold Reclaf.
Inicjatorem były władze gminy, a ich propozycję pozytywnie przyjęło powiatowe starostwo. Rady obu samorządów przyjęły już uchwały intencyjne w tej sprawie, w najbliższych dniach rozpoczną się prace nad statutem instytucji. „Kaszubia” będzie świadczyć usługi przede wszystkim komunalne, takie jak sprzątanie parków czy miejsc pamięci. Dzięki takiemu rozwiązaniu gmina będzie mogła wykonywać te zadania sama, zamiast zlecać je podmiotom zewnętrznym, przyczyniając się przy tym do zmniejszenia bezrobocia na swoim terenie.
„Kaszubia” ma zacząć swoją działalność na początku przyszłego roku. To pierwsza taka instytucja w województwie pomorskim, która będzie prowadzona wspólnie przez dwa samorządy terytorialne.
