Msza św. w kościele św. Brygidy oraz złożenie kwiatów przed bramą nr 2 Stoczni Gdańskiej – to główne uroczystości obchodów 35. rocznicy podpisania Porozumień Sierpniowych, które odbędą się dzisiaj w Gdańsku. Weźmie w nich udział prezydent Andrzej Duda.
Podpisanie porozumień w sierpniu 1980 r. między komisją rządową a komitetem strajkowym i powstanie Solidarności stały się początkiem przemian 1989 roku. Obchody rocznicy tych wydarzeń odbywają się w regionie od piątku. Dziś przed południem w Gdańsku zaplanowano odsłonięcie makiety przedstawiającej Pomnik Poległych Stoczniowców oraz jego najbliższe otoczenie. Wykonana z brązu makieta w skali 1:50 pozwala na „obejrzenie” pomnika i jego otoczenia przez osoby niewidome. W jej odsłonięciu wezmą udział uczestnicy strajków sierpniowych z 80 roku, w tym marszałek Senatu Bogdan Borusewicz. W południe z udziałem prezydenta Andrzeja Dudy odbędzie się uroczysta msza św. w kościele św. Brygidy. Jej uczestnicy przejdą następnie ulicami Gdańska pod historyczną bramę nr 2 Stoczni Gdańskiej, gdzie złożone zostaną kwiaty. Następny punkt uroczystości rocznicowych to spotkanie w pobliskiej Sali BHP Stoczni Gdańskiej, gdzie przed 35 laty podpisano historyczne Porozumienia Sierpniowe.
Między złożeniem kwiatów przed stoczniową bramą, a spotkaniem w Sali BHP prezydent Duda zwiedzi wystawę stałą w Europejskim Centrum Solidarności. W okazji 35. rocznicy Sierpnia’80 wstęp do ECS przez cały dzień będzie kosztował symboliczną złotówkę.
