Uniwersytet Gdański nie otworzy etnofilologii kaszubskiej
Władze Uniwersytetu Gdańskiego nie otworzą po raz kolejny etnofilologii kaszubskiej – czyli pierwszego w historii kierunku kaszubskiego na studiach wyższych. Kaszubi o tę sprawę walczyli przez wiele ostatnich lat. Udało się nawet pozyskać w tym roku dofinansowanie z budżetu państwa na utworzenie tego kierunku. Mimo to władze Uniwersytetu odmówiły Kaszubom możliwości utworzenia kierunku kaszubskiego na tej uczelni. Ze względów formalnych nowy kierunek może być otwarty jeśli rozpocznie na nim naukę 25 studentów. Na etnofilologię zgłosiło się w tym roku jedynie 12 osób. Pomocą dla uczelni miało być dofinansowanie pozyskane przez Zrzeszenie Kaszubsko – Pomorskie, czyli w tym roku 30 tysięcy złotych. To nie przekonało władz Uniwersytetu – mówi działający w środowisku kaszubskim profesor Andrzej Ceynowa. W internecie już pojawiają się opinie, że nieotwarcie kaszubskiego kierunku to porażka zarówno Kaszubów, jak i Uniwersytetu.

Środowiska kaszubskie oburzone decyzją władz Uniwersytetu Gdańskiego o nieotwarciu etnofilologii kaszubskiej. Wzmożone wysiłki w tej sprawie prowadzono przez ostatnie kilka lat. To miał być pierwszy w historii kierunek kaszubski na studiach wyższych. Rok temu nie udało się, bo nie zgromadzono wystarczającej liczby chętnych studentów. Co zawiodło w tym roku?
