Trwają zapisy na naukę języka, kultury i historii Kaszub
Ponad pół tysiąca nowych uczniów rozpoczyna w tym roku szkolnym naukę języka, kultury i historii Kaszub. Chętni mogą się zapisywać do końca września. Łącznie na całych Kaszubach rodnej mowy uczy się już 15 tysięcy dzieci i młodzieży.
Nasz język jest przedmiotem dodatkowym w szkole. Aby uczęszczać na zajęcia rodzice składają odpowiednią deklarację. Lekcje języka odbywają się 2 razy w tygodniu, a trzecia godzina poświęcona jest na wycieczki szkolne. Od tego roku uczniowie będą poznawać też historię Kaszub – obowiązkową godzinę zajęć z tego przedmiotu będą mieli uczniowie z klasy V szkoły podstawowej a także II klasy gimnazjum i liceum. Najwięcej nowych uczniów, którzy zdecydowali się na lekcje regionalne pochodzi z południowo-zachodnich Kaszub. Nowe grupy zajęciowe tworzą się w gminach Potęgowo, Damnica, Dębnica Kaszubska i Miastko. Laureat Skry Ormuzdowej za działania na polu edukacji kaszubskiej, Zbigniew Byczkowski, liczy na nawet 500 nowych uczniów.
Nowe grupy zajęciowe tworzą się też w jednym z liceów w Wejherowie i w szkołach gminy Władysławowo. Oficjalne dane o liczbie uczniów uczęszczających na lekcje języka i historii Kaszub poznamy w październiku.
