Gdynia rozpoczyna przygotowania do Mistrzostw Europy w piłce nożnej do lat 21.
– Oprócz wyzwań, wydarzenie jest dużą szansą dla rozwoju miasta – wyliczał Paweł Brutel – Radny Gdyni.
Na konferencji prasowej przedstawiciele miasta Gdyni, PZPN oraz Gdyńskiego Centrum Sportu zapewnili o ścisłej współpracy przy organizacji tego przedsięwzięcia. Będzie to duże wyzwanie zarówno logistyczne jak i organizacyjne dla miasta, które po raz pierwszy zmierzy się z imprezą tego formatu.
Mistrzostwa Europy do lat 21 odbędą się między 16, a 30 czerwca 2017. Wśród miast gospodarzy znalazły się Bydgoszcz, Kielce, Kraków, Lublin i co cieszy nas najbardziej właśnie Gdynia. Takim obrotem sprawy nie był zaskoczony Marek Łucyk – dyrektor Gdyńskie Centrum Sportu.
Z okazji mistrzostw rozważane są liczne wydarzenia towarzyszące, aktywna kampania promocyjna miasta, a być może organizacja stref kibica na wzór Euro z 2016 roku.
