TRÓJMIASTO: Będą nowe miejsca pracy w przemyśle stoczniowym
2,5 tysiąca nowych miejsc pracy ma powstać w przemyśle stoczniowym w Trójmieście. Wszystko dzięki podpisaniu umów na budowę trzech nowych niszczycieli min oraz dokończeniu budowy patrolowca ORP „Ślązak”. Umowy podpisano wczoraj w obecności premiera Donalda Tuska i ministra obrony Tomasza Siemoniaka. Ślązak to okręt pierwotnie budowany od 2001 r. jako wielozadaniowa korweta Gawron. W lutym ubiegłego roku rząd zdecydował przerwać program korwety. Po rozmowach z Marynarką Wojenną i przemysłem stoczniowym zdecydowano, że jednostka, której kadłub był gotowy, zostanie dokończona, ale jako patrolowiec. Oba projekty mają wykonać polskie konsorcja. Liderem konsorcjum budującego Ślązaka jest Stocznia Marynarki Wojennej w Gdyni; w programie Kormoran 2 wiodącym podmiotem jest Stocznia Remontowa Shipbuilding z Gdańska. Donald Tusk zapewnił, że co roku z budżetu państwa na modernizację uzbrojenia Marynarki Wojennej wydawany będzie miliard złotych.
