Transportowy Węzeł Integracyjny ma powstać w Redzie
Parkingi, przejścia podziemne i ronda – czyli Transportowy Węzeł Integracyjny ma powstać w Redzie. Władze miasta opracowały plan koncepcyjny na rozbudowę infrastruktury w okolicach dworca.
– Chcemy ułatwić mieszkańcom przesiadkę z jednego środka komunikacji na drugi – mówi zastępca burmistrza Redy, Teresa Kania.
Celem inwestycji jest przede wszystkim synchronizacja ruchu drogowego i komunikacji miejskiej. Chodzi o płynne współdziałanie autobusów, taksówek, samochodów i pociągów. Lista zmian jest długa. W ramach inwestycji mają powstać m. in. parking typu park and ride na ponad 260 samochodów, na którym będzie można zostawić auto i przesiąść się na transport publiczny, a także parking bike and ride na około 200 rowerów. Planowane są także miejsce na postój taksówek i autobusów oraz wprowadzenie drugiego pasa ruchu na ul. Młyńskiej. Funduszy miasto szukać będzie w programie Zintegrowanych Inwestycji Terytorialnych.
