To będzie wielkie kaszubskie międzynarodowe wydarzenie
Kaszubska reprezentacja hokejowa zmierzy się z Trójmiejskimi drużynami. Z Kanady przyjadą do nas mieszkający tam Kaszubi by rozegrać mini-turniej sportowy hokeja na lodzie. Dla wielu osób zaskoczeniem jest fakt, że Kaszubi mają swoją reprezentację w tej dyscyplinie. Zawodnicy w czarno-żółtych barwach mieszkają i grają na co dzień w prowincji Ontario w Kanadzie. Ich rywalami będą drużyny Mad Dogs Sopot oraz Dragons Gdańsk. Turniej rozgrywany będzie w Hali Olivia piątego kwietnia. Drużynę Kashubian Griffins powitają zaproszeni goście – premier Donald Tusk, senator Kazimierz Kleina, prezes stowarzyszenia Kaszëbskô Jednota Mateusz Meyer i przedstawiciele Zrzeszenia Kaszubsko-Pomorskiego. Organizatorzy zapowiadają oprawę godną wielkiego sportowego wydarzenia. Dlatego między innymi poprosili Weronikę Korthals-Tartas o wykonanie przed rozgrywkami kaszubskiego hymnu – pieśni Zemia Rodnô. Całym sercem na lodowisku powalczy też drużyna Kashubian Griffins, tym bardziej że Kaszubi z Kanady liczą na duży udział publiczności – bilety na rozgrywki są jeszcze dostępne w hali Olivia i CEPR w Szymbarku. Wstęp na wydarzenie kosztuje 5 złotych, turniej odbędzie się 5 kwietnia. Hokeiści zagrają by upamiętnić zmarłego w zeszłym roku działacza kaszubskiego – Daniela Czapiewskiego.
